Welcome to the 2020 Congressional App Challenge! June 1- October 19

Compete with other middle school and high school aged students from around the 27th Congressional District for the opportunity to have your work featured and promoted nationally. The Congressional App Challenge was created to increase the hands-on experience of STEM education throughout the U.S. and give students an opportunity to compete with other students in their district and gain national recognition for their coding and app building skills.

The challenge seeks to:

Inspire – inspire students from every corner of the county to explore STEM, coding and computer science through hands-on practice.

Include – to actively include and engage students from communities that are traditionally underrepresented in the tech community.

Innovate – To innovate policymaking by connecting Members of Congress to new and emerging technologies through personal interactions with their student constituents.

The competition is for middle-school and high-school aged students

Students can compete individually, or as a team of up to four students.

Student(s) must reside in the Congressional District in which they are competing.
